Spied! X6 Crossover

Beneath camouflage and a fat suit, BMW's forthcoming X6 crossover was recently spied cruising the streets of hometown Munich.
If one thing is clear it's that the vehicle is longer and lower than the X5 Sports Activity Vehicle on which it's based — think a squished X5 or raised 5 Series wagon.
Under the boxy back canvas, the roof is expected to slope gently, more coupe-like than SUV-like.
While these photos aren't extremely flattering, count on BMW to fine-tune the proportions and styling before revealing a production version.
Power will likely come from BMW's twin-turbo inline-six and a V8. A diesel six will likely be an option, too.
The X6 will be built in Spartanburg, South Carolina alongside the X5 and Z4 convertible.
Look for the X6 to hit the auto-show circuit within months and arrive in showrooms shortly after.
Autobahn Report will bring you all the news and photos as they become available. Stay tuned!
