Hammer And Coop Help Launch New Mini

Mini USA has created two Hollywood heroes to help launch the new Cooper and Cooper S.

Their names: Hammer and Coop.

Their films: six action-packed adventures online at
www.HammerAndCoop.com.

Hammer is a big-haired buffoon, much like Ben Stiller's character in Starsky And Hutch. Coop is a talking 2007 Mini Cooper S, much like KITT, the Pontiac Trans Am in Knight Rider.

They are Mini's latest marketing brainchild — and they feature pop-culture tie-ins galore.

Trailers promoting the series are running in 1,900 theaters across the country until March 23.

Media partnerships include a flip-issue in Rolling Stone (on the front and back covers as well as 10 pages inside); eight-page fashion spreads in the March issues of Maxim, Stuff and Blender; a cover story in Premiere; and a place on Men's Health's monthly workout poster.

Online, look for Hammer and Coop on Second Life, MySpace and YouTube.

Moreover, Mini and its ad agency have come up with billboards, movie posters, print ads and fun accessories for purchase online (iron-on logos for T-shirts, vintage lunchboxes and other stuff).

The Hammer And Coop series is directed by Todd Phillips, of Old School and Starsky And Hutch fame, and stars actor Bryan Callen.
