BMW has made numerous updates to the 6 Series coupe and convertible — to bring the cars inline with its other new offerings as well as add some fresh appeal for consumers.
The mid-cycle freshening includes:
updated headlights, LED taillights and fender-
mounted LED turn-signal repeaters,
a larger front air dam,
more-pronounced side sills,
a more-concave trunk lid below the spoiler,
the eye-level brake light now integrated into the spoiler,
new metallic exterior colors (Deep Sea Blue, Space Gray),
new alloy-wheel designs,
an updated interior with flowing lines, plus enhanced controls and instruments,
six programmable buttons for the iDrive system,
new interior-trim options of grained maple and dark birch woods,
new leather options including Chateau Red and Saddle Brown,
and sun-reflective technology for the convertible's leather seats.
Other minor technical tweaks have also been applied to the 6 Series, making braking, climate control, cruise control and other systems a tad more efficient than before. The 6 also has an optional new six-speed sport automatic transmission with steering-wheel paddles.
In all, the changes subtly enhance an already very attractive automobile line.
